My First Pop-Up: Building Confidence, One Conversation at a Time

If there’s one thing designing has taught me, it’s that fashion only becomes real when people see it, touch it, and connect with it.
This past weekend, I hosted my first ever pop-up event in Lagos, and even though it was small, it meant everything to me.
“Setting the Scene”
There was no red carpet. No flashing lights. Just good clothes, a few racks, soft music, and amazing women who came curious and left inspired.
I answered questions, took measurements, and shared stories behind each design. My heart grew every time someone smiled at a piece and said, “This reminds me of my auntie in the 80s…”
That’s exactly what I hoped for.
“In Her Hands”
The Power of Face-to-Face
One woman told me this was the first time she’d bought something “custom” in years and that it made her feel special.
Another asked how I balance fashion with everything else I do and she left promising to start her own project soon.
Moments like these reminded me that my designs are conversation starters. Not just outfits.

📣 Next Time, Bigger?
This pop-up was just a start but I’m already thinking bigger.
Maybe a trunk show in Abuja? Or a collab event in the UK?
One thing is clear: fashion lives best when it’s felt up close.
Thank you to everyone who came, asked, listened, and supported.
This was real.
And I’ll never forget it.
