Introducing ORIGINS: My First Ever Collection for Chi & Stainless

It’s more than a launch, it’s a declaration!
I’m so excited (and honestly, a little emotional) to share my very first official fashion collection under Chi & Stainless. It’s called “Origins.” And it’s deeply personal.
This isn’t just a group of clothes, it’s the beginning of my story as a designer. A visual love letter to everything that made me fall in love with fashion in the first place: my mother’s elegance, the flair of Nigerian owambe parties in the 70s, and the timeless confidence of African women who wear culture with pride.
👗 The Collection: A Nostalgic Rebirth
The Origins Collection features eight handcrafted pieces made with vibrant Ankara fabrics, structured tailoring, and design elements that nod to the past while looking boldly toward the future.
Each look is meant to feel:
Silhouetted with strength and softness at once
Grounded in heritage
Unapologetically feminine
From wide-leg trousers and structured blouses to floor-length ball skirts and these pieces are made for women who walk into a room carrying their story with them.

🌿 What Inspired It
“Origins” is more than a name. It’s a return to the beginning not just of fashion, but of identity.
While studying vintage Nigerian photography, I became fascinated by how our mothers and aunties carried themselves not with extravagance, but with purpose. Every outfit told you who they were without saying a word.
I wanted to bring that energy into today’s world.
To make something modern, but full of memory.
Something polished. Clean. “Stainless.”

My Sketchbook | Chi and Stainless Fashion
Each piece was handcrafted in collaboration with talented local tailors in Enugu. We worked with precision and intention not just sewing, but storytelling.
I remember the late nights, sourcing the right prints, perfecting seams. “Origins” took months to complete but it gave me years’ worth of learning.
Here’s a quick look at some of the standout designs:
The “Aunty Gloria” skirt : Dramatic ball skirt in gold-toned Ankara
“Sisi Structure” top : Crisp peplum blouse with wide sleeves
“Ada’s Trousers” : 70s-style wide-leg pants in deep indigo wax print
“Ezinne” dress : Soft A-line gown with hand-stitched bodice detailing

I’m already planning the next chapter but for now, I’m taking a moment to celebrate this one.
Origins isn’t perfect. But it’s true. It’s mine. And it’s yours now too.
To everyone who’s encouraged me, worn my early pieces, or even just shared kind words, you’re part of this.
🧵 Wear your story. Always.
