Today, I’m beyond excited to share something that’s been in my heart (and in our studio) for months, the NEW Accents collection. This launch marks a bold step in how we, at Chi & Stainless Fashion, tell our stories through clothing.
For me, fashion has always been about more than clothes. It’s about identity, culture, and the quiet confidence that comes from wearing something that feels like it was made for you. NEW Accents takes the timeless beauty of Ankara and reimagines it for the modern woman, sleek lines, bold textures, and silhouettes that speak without shouting.
Ankara is part of my roots, but with NEW Accents, I wanted it to feel new and wearable in different worlds, from Onitsha streets to international runways. Each piece carries the vibrancy of our heritage, shaped into streamlined forms that move with you, not against you.
Every drape, seam, and pleat was considered. The collection blends the richness of African textiles with a minimal, modern approach, creating outfits you can style effortlessly whether you’re stepping into a meeting or onto a dance floor.
To me, this collection is an invitation for women to show up as their truest selves. The pieces are not loud, not shy just quietly powerful. They’re designed for comfort, but they hold structure; they feel effortless, but they carry meaning.
From our studio in Onitsha, we’ve taken Ankara from heritage markets to the runway at events like the Black Culture Edition of Arcade Fashion Week. Now, with NEW Accents, we’re pushing that vision further creating garments that belong anywhere in the world, but still feel like home.
NEW Accents isn’t just another drop. It’s a conversation between past and present, rooted in who we are and bold about where we’re going.
